About Us

Who are we?

Mongbat is a gaming community which has been active since 2006, with members hailing from across the globe. We are a multi-gaming community, so there is always a reason to stay. Our members have fought valiantly side-by-side across a number of games over the years, including: Warhammer Online, EVE Online, World of Warcraft and Global Agenda. But our community isn’t limited to MMOs; our guild has hosted weekly Starcraft II tournaments and we have also had fun with Left for Dead, Team Fortress 2 and various console games. We even partake in the occasional tabletop conversation and pen and paper RPG.

We have raided Mythic’s offices and kidnapped elves for Hi-Rez.

Do I have to be “Hardcore?”

Mongbat is not a hardcore group at heart. We are a home to players from all walks of life whose interests are varied and range from PvE raiding, crafting, and questing, to PvP warfare and shenanigans that fall often in-between. As a Mongbat member you will never be told what class to roll or how to play. We all have families, real life obligations, and jobs to tend to first. Gaming is a break from that and after all, the reason we are all playing is for the camaraderie and enjoyment. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels like they are contributing to the whole, regardless of their individual focus.

Why should I join?

Our community has always been tight-knit, supportive and has always emphasized fun over all else. The friendships we have formed through gaming have extended offline as well, with members coming together for events such as Comic Con, a Renaissance Fair and even a wedding. We may or may not have also printed a Tusken Swimsuit Calendar… our memory is a bit fuzzy there.

How do I join?

Read our rules and then visit our forums and introduce yourself. Take your time and get to know everyone. If you feel like you enjoy the environment and want to be an official part of Mongbat, fill out an application on the boards. You can also visit us on our TeamSpeak server and join our steam group.

What games are you guys playing?

We have an active group playing World of Warcraft, Battlestar Galactica Online & many are waiting for SWtoR to be released.
